Hypnotherapy and Hypnobirthing the easibirthingTM way - alternative to epidural and drugs

I am certified as both a hypnotherapist and specialist hypnotic birth practitioner, registered with the NCHP. I trained in the easibirthingTM method, a world renowned hypnobirthing course that helps you with many aspects of your pregnancy, birth and post natal period, including breast feeding. This can be conducted over video call, so you do not need to live close by.

Studies have shown that hypnotherapies can:

  • Reduce first stage of labour by an average of two hours
  • Reduce second stage pushing by an average of half hour
  • Reduce need for pharmaceutical drugs or epidural in labour
  • Reduce need for induction and encourage labour to start
  • Reduce instrumental or caesarian delivery
  • Encourage baby to present in best position for an easier labour
  • Reduce pregnancy sickness and the extreme hyperemesis
  • Encourage lactation or help stop production if required
  • Reduce general anxiety surrounding pregnancy and birth
  • Help prepare for an elective caesarian
  • Help you cope as a new parent

Pregnancy-related conditions I am trained to treat with hypnosis:

  • Pregnancy sickness
  • Hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme sickness that may require hospitalisation)
  • Malpresentation (posterior, breech and transverse babies)
  • Anxiety surrounding pregnancy and birth
  • Preparation for elective caesarian
  • Lactation encouragement or prevention

Contact me to find out how I can help alleviate problems which in turn will raise your likelihood of a normal delivery, lessen need for pain relief and reduction in incidences of distress for mother and baby.

Hypnosis / hypnotherapy treatments:

As a hypnotherapist I can also work with you to help relieve any non-birth related anxieties and phobias, diet reinforcement, sleep aid therapy, smoking cessation and even the fascinating past life regression therapy using a lucid dreaming technique.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy (homoeopathy) is a beautiful, gentle treatment that can be used in pregnancy, birth and when breastfeeding.

Remedies can be given to help all sorts of disorders.

For example, if you're suffering with symphysis pubis or round ligament pain, there are remedies that work like a charm.

For a slow labour where your cervix isn't ripening and opening, there are several remedies that can aid this.

If you're suffering with sore nipples or mastitis, there are remedies that can help this.

I highly recommend clients to get either the Helios Childbirth kit or the Ainsworth's Pregnancy to Age 7 kit.

Reflexology

Sometimes we just need a pampering!

Reflexology is a calming and peaceful way to relax into your pregnancy and labour.

There are pressure points all over your feet that relate to corresponding areas throughout your body.

By stimulating various points on your feet, it can aid sleep, back pain, etc, but mostly it has the ability to make you feel like you're floating on a cloud!

A beautiful way to help you, and in turn your baby, to relax, allow your labour to start or even help your milk to flow.
